Are you a counselor?

Yes! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and do see clients for mental health needs in my private practice. However, individuals looking for my guidance and support in transitions and improving life skills are not going to be provided with clinical diagnoses or therapeutic counseling.

I am someone who is dedicated to providing opportunities for an honest look at the reality of transition after high school (be it to college, or not) as well as the life skills necessary for a healthy, positive and successful college experience. The truth is...

High school guidance counselors are riddled with added responsibilities and requirements with an ongoing pressure to guide their students through the college admissions process.

Parents are creating college accounts before gender reveal parties in the hopes of not having to refinance their homes to afford the rising costs of higher education.

Colleges and universities are doing whatever they can to keep applicants coming, retention high, and promote the narrative that a college experience is a necessary element of personal and professional development. High-risk drinking, sexual assault, suicide and eating disorders have a disastrous impact on today's college students. They should not only know how to take care of themselves, but one another.
